Bittorrent

Bittorrent is a program that unites torrents, parts of files. Since a part of a file is not illegal, unless put together, it is legal. The nice thing about the torrents is the comments, for sights like thepiratebay.com. Thepiratebay.com is a sight the finds torrents. Anyways, the comments for each torrent let you know stuff like, key codes for games, or programs you need to run them. Since you can get stuff from TV shows to the Windows operating system for free, you also need to know how to use the programs you download. That is where the comments and many times a lot of work come into play. It is not easy to get totally free stuff with ought the effort. For example, to get a free game, like World in Conflict, you would have to first download it, the easy part. Then you have to figure out what type of disk security it has. Since all new games have a security system that prevents you from using the game with ought the disk. Depending on the security system you either have to find the security code that the program needs to find on the disk and put it to 0000000 or you have to make a disk image that tricks the program into thinking it has a disk inserted into the computer. The next part is the code key, you can usually find it in the comments, but sometimes that code does not work. So you may have to guess a code of all 0’s or 1’s, that sometimes works. If not then you have to try and crack the code they use for the program. After all that is might work, but depending on the program it may even be harder to do and or more steps to make it work. That’s for games, let alone for operating systems. Operating systems are the thing you call the desk top, basically.

Limewire

Limewire in short is a file sharing program, and according to some, the worst. First of all Limewire it self is not illegal, but putting the songs on Limewire is. In fact Limewire is the easiest way for the RIAA, a perpetrator of music copy write infringement, to find people who put illegal music out on the web. Still it is great if you just want to get music since they can’t trace your, but that music many times contains viruses and or is very bad quality. So why do people use Limewire, simply because it is well known, not illegal to use, and it is easy to use. Unlike Bitorrent where there is good quality, still not illegal, but much harder to use. Well if the RIAA can catch you and there are tons of viruses, how come there is almost every song on the planet there and I, personally, have had no problems with it? I think that all this stuff about how bad Limewire is just to scare people off or they just don’t know about all the problems with it. Also, besides what they say, most music is pretty good and usually doesn’t have any viruses, so if you just get music your fine, but if you want to get programs and other things, I would recommend Bitorrent. If you are one of the people that has a strange desire to put music up on the internet, don’t do it on Limewire, instead create your own site and tell your friends about it, its much better. If you think as I do and still use Limewire, then make sure you do these things. When downloading music make sure it says, (the file name).mp3, if not don’t download it. If the file is much bigger than the rest of the files near it, like (500K) when most music is about 5k don’t download it, it is a viruses. Other than that just use common sense, like if your computer says its not a music file, its not a music file.
